Daniel Sturridge should bring his Liverpool tenure to an end this summer and go in search of a new challenge, believes ex-Red Jason McAteer.
Sturridge's future on Merseyside remains up in the air following another season in which his game time was limited.
A spate of injuries kept the England international from playing frequently last season and, as a result, he fell down the pecking order in the plans of Jurgen Klopp.
Sturridge now sees himself as Liverpool's third-choice striker, behind Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi.
