Roma have made further contact with Leicester City over a proposed deal for Riyad Mahrez.
The two clubs are still understood to be a considerable distance apart on valuation with Leicester looking for over £40million for the Algerian.
Roma sporting director Monchi is understood to have spoken to Leicester's head of recruitment Eduardo Macia but the Italian side have only proposed around £21million plus add-ons.
The 26-year-old is admired by Arsenal though they have reservations about Leicester's asking price.
