Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports is reporting that Marcus Lee is set to visit the University of California on Tuesday. Rothstein says a commitment is expected on the visit. Because Lee is not set to graduate from Kentucky until December, he will have to sit out a year as a transfer before playing for the Golden Bears in the 2017 season.
Cal was a finalist for Lee back in high school due to the proximity to his home. This time around Cal is coached by former Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin. Lee will get the chance to practice against forward Ivan Rabb who elected to bypass this June’s NBA Draft.
