3 Burning Questions For Kentucky Basketball Heading Into The 2015-16 Season

The Kentucky Wildcats are on the verge of a championship breakout, but there are still some things that need to be addressed before Kentucky sets it sights on NCAA Tourney glory. Here’s our list of 3 Burning Questions For Kentucky Basketball Heading Into The 2015-16 Season.

1. Will Skal Labissiere Be Cleared To Play In 2015-16?

The 6'10" Haitian-born super prospect is in NCAA limbo as his relationship with his American guardian, Gerald Hamilton, has been called into question based on evidence that Hamilton told AAU coach Keith Easterwood that he was looking for ways to profit off of Labissiere when he got to Lawrence. Skal expects to be cleared and the situation is quiet for now, but it's the #1 thing on everyone's minds right about now.

2. What Impact Will Mychal Mulder Have?

Head coach John Calipari doesn't typically pursue JUCO transfers, but Mulder's tape provided too many intriguing aspects for Coach Cal to bypass him. Mulder is a versatile wing who provides both length on the defensive end and a killer dead-eye shot. The jump in competition could prove troublesome early, but there's a very good chance that Mulder asserts himself as a top-tier scoring threat.

3. How Will Isaiah Briscoe and Tyler Ulis Work Together?

Calipari has used two true point guards at the same time before, convincing one guy to work in a more traditional off-the-ball shooting guard role. Sophomore Tyler Ulis is more of a traditional point man than freshman Isaiah Briscoe, so it's possible there's nothing really to worry about. However, with youth there's growing pains and there's no guarantee that the two will mesh from an on-court chemistry standpoint.
