KENT, Ohio – The Kent State University women's golf team played two rounds of the Schooner Fall Classic Saturday and enter the final round in fifth place with an eight-over par score of 576 (292-284).
Kent State, ranked fourth in the latest Golfweek national poll, is currently in the mix of a tough field, leading the likes of LSU, Iowa State and Notre Dame, while trailing fourth place Oklahoma, the hosts, by eight strokes. Florida State currently leads the field at 19-under par.
Three out of the five Golden Flashes competing are freshman, and two currently lead the pack.
