On the record: Top-seeded Kent State eliminated in semifinals at MAC baseball tournament

The season came to an end for Kent State on Saturday when the top-seeded Golden Flashes lost 7-2 to Ohio in a semifinal game at the Mid-American Conference baseball tournament.

Kent State (37-18) had just three hits, including a fifth-inning home run by Pete Schuler that cut the Bobcats’ lead to 2-1. Ohio (30-26) added a run in the sixth, two in the seventh and two more in the ninth to advance to the championship game.
