The No. 13 Kent State University women’s golf team is in contention at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate in Kennesaw, Ga. The Golden Flashes led after Monday morning’s first-round 285, but fell to third behind Purdue and Memphis with a second-round 296 to sit at 5 over.
Kent freshman Pimnipa Panthong is atop the individual leaderboard with a 4-under 140. Teammate Wad Phaewchimplee is 2 strokes back, tied for fifth.
