On the record: Kent State golf team finishes fourth in fall finale

The No. 20 Kent State men’s golf team concluded its fall schedule with a fourth-place finish at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas.

The Golden Flashes shot a 6-over 1066 in the three-round tournament and finished every tournament this fall in the top four.

Chase Johnson (Walsh Jesuit) finished fifth at 6-under 207 after a 5-under 66 on Tuesday. Bjarki Petursson finished tied for 13th, Gisli Sveinbergsson finished tied for 21st and Josh Whalen tied for 28th. Ian Holt (Stow), ranked in the top 50 nationally, finished tied for 36th.

The spring season begins on Feb.
