CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State junior libero Challen Geraghty has been named Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Geraghty displayed her "crazy ability to make plays" by averaging 7.57 digs per set on the opening weekend of Mid-American Conference play. She recorded three sets of double-digit digs in helping the Golden Flashes hold their opponents to a .132 hitting percentage while going 2-0 to start the conference season for the first time since 2008. She was also perfect in 36 service receptions.
