KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Preseason polls can provide incentive. They can also provide a benchmark.
The variance Kansas State can point to this basketball season is alarming.
The Wildcats were picked ninth in the Big 12 by league coaches. They also received votes in the national coaches poll. Enough to result in only three points and a mention among others, but votes nonetheless.
Something must give in a season that looms large for Bruce Weber and his future as K-State coach.
“I feel good about our top seven guys,’’ Weber said Tuesday at Big 12 Media Day.
