Missouri State suspends quarterback for K-State game

MANHATTAN — Missouri State announced Friday night that starting quarterback Breck Ruddick has been suspended and will not play when the Bears face Kansas State at 6:10 p.m. Saturday at Snyder Family Stadium.

Reddick was suspended indefinitely for “conduct detrimental to the team,” MSU officials announced but would not comment further.

According to social media posts, Ruddick was allegedly involved in a situation in which he injured a woman’s dog.

Ruddick, a sophomore, passed for 424 yards and four touchdowns as Missouri State won its first two games. He earned the starting job in fall camp over Brodie Lambert, who is expected to start against K-State.
