K-State's Cody Whitehair top guard prospect in NFL Draft

MANHATTAN — The versatility that has become the trademark of offensive linemen in Kansas State’s football program is best exemplified by Cody Whitehair.

As a freshman and sophomore, Whitehair was a starting guard for the Wildcats then shifted to left tackle his junior and senior years. He earned All-Big 12 honors all four years and was a first-team selection as a senior.

While he thrived at tackle, Whitehair’s 6-foot-4, 301-pound frame is best suited for guard in the NFL. The Abilene native could hear his named called on the first day in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday, rated by NFLdraftscout.
