K-State pops Missouri State 35-0 in storm-shortened game

MANHATTAN

Thunderstorms delayed the start of Kansas State’s football game against Missouri State on Saturday, but the weather did nothing to slow the Wildcats once they took the field.

K-State demolished Missouri State 35-0 at Snyder Family Stadium, closing out the nonconference portion of its schedule with another blowout victory in a game called at halftime by another round of storms.

The Wildcats (2-1) were dominant from the start, and it was clear they wanted to assert themselves early against the Bears (2-1). Unlike most games, K-State coach Bill Snyder chose to receive the opening kickoff rather than defer to the second half.
