K-State AD John Currie announces 2016 athletics budget

Kansas State athletics director John Currie released details of the department’s budget for fiscal year 2016, projecting a budget of $70.1 million.

Currie released the figures in his “Letter to Fans” on the K-State athletics website (www.kstatesports.com), reporting FY2015 ended with a balanced budget and a surplus for the sixth straight year.

“I appreciate our coaches and staff for continuing to make budget-conscious decisions each and every day,” Currie wrote, “as well as all of Wildcat Nation for filling our stadiums all year long and participating in the Ahearn Fund, which now has 10,000 members spread out among all 50 states.
