Freshman Anna Courtney scored her first career goal, and the Kansas soccer team defeated North Texas 2-1 on Sunday in Denton, Texas.
KU senior Liana Salazar found the back of the net for the first goal of her senior season in the 35th minute. The Jayhawks went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
North Texas scored early in the second half, but Courtney’s goal in the 76th minute would be enough to lead the Jayhawks to victory.
