Fifth-year senior power forward Landen Lucas likes what he’s seen out of Kansas’ freshman class the first month of the 2016-17 school year.
“Workouts have been great. New rules allow us to meet as a team every now and then, not frequently, but we get a chance to compete against each other, which is good for the new guys,” Portland, Ore., native Lucas said, speaking of two hours of basketball practice time per week in the offseason in accordance with NCAA rules.
“It gives them a chance to get adjusted to the pace of college before we start putting in plays, which is important,” he said.
