KU places two, K-State one on All-Big 12 baseball first team

Kansas State had one first-team selection and the Newcomer of the Year while Kansas had two first-team choices on the All-Big 12 baseball team announced Tuesday.

K-State senior center fielder Clayton Dalrymple was on the first team in voting by the conference coaches. Junior first baseman Jake Scudder, a transfer from Iowa Western Community College, was Newcomer of the Year and a second-team selection while designated hitter Josh Rolette was a honorable mention and on the All-Freshman Team.

Kansas players earning first team honors were catcher Michael Tinsley and starting pitcher Ben Krauth, both unanimous selections. The Jayhawks had two second-team choices, second baseman Colby Wright and relief pitcher Stephen Villines, and shortstop Matt McLaughlin was honorable mention.
