It's been nearly a month since we last saw Alex Gordon in the Kansas City Royals' starting lineup following a strained groin muscle suffered chasing a fly ball in early July.
Gordon may be out for a bit longer, but we've still got plenty of love for the three-time All-Star.
As manager Ned Yost puts it, the 31-year-old left fielder is "one of the hearts and souls" of the Royals and a key foundation piece of the team's upcoming playoff run.
