Stat of the Day: Winless Road Trip

FThe Royals lost 5–2 to the White Sox on Wednesday to mark the first time they’ve been swept in Chicago since July 9–11, 2010.

The loss completed an 0–7 road trip, following a four-game sweep in Texas from April 20–23. This marks the fourth longest winless road trip in franchise history, following three 0–9 trips:

  • 0–9 road trip: April 14–23, 2000
  • 0–9 road trip: April 11–19, 2006

The Royals are now 2–11 on the road this season. Following Friday’s off day, they’ll begin a 10-game homestand at Kauffman Stadium, where they are 5–3 this season.
