The loss completed an 0–7 road trip, following a four-game sweep in Texas from April 20–23. This marks the fourth longest winless road trip in franchise history, following three 0–9 trips:
- 0–9 road trip: June 27-July 6, 1986
- 0–9 road trip: April 14–23, 2000
- 0–9 road trip: April 11–19, 2006
The Royals are now 2–11 on the road this season. Following Friday’s off day, they’ll begin a 10-game homestand at Kauffman Stadium, where they are 5–3 this season.
