Royals Rumors Roundup: Kansas City Open To Trading Cain, A's Interested In Dyson & More

The Kansas City Royals have already made a big splash this offseason, trading closer Wade Davis to the Cubs for outfielder Jorge Soler. However, the Royals appear to be far from done making moves. Here are all the latest Royals news & rumors you need to know:

Royals close to trading Dyson, Athletics interested
Kansas City has been taking offers for Jarrod Dyson, and after acquiring Soler, they appear to be closer to trading him. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Athletics are very interested in acquiring him:

The Rangers and Orioles are also interested in Dyson, who played in 107 games for the Royals last season, the second-most in a season in his career. He hit .278 with one homer and 25 RBIs with 30 stolen bases.

Kansas City taking calls about trading Cain
As Sherman points out, Lorenzo Cain is also a free agent after the 2017 season, and as they try to find that balance between winning now and getting future help, ESPN's Buster Olney reports the Royals are open to trading Cain:

Cain hit .287 with nine home runs and 56 RBIs in 103 games last season.

Duffy also on the trade block
Another player who Kansas City is taking calls about trading is pitcher Danny Duffy, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network:

Duffy, who has spent his entire six-year MLB career with the Royals, went 12-3 with a 3.51 ERA last year.
