Kansas City Chiefs: No Jamaal Charles, no problem

A little over six weeks ago, the Kansas City Chiefs (5-5) were sitting with a 1-4 record after failing to beat the Chicago Bears in Arrowhead. More importantly that day, the Chiefs lost Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles to a season ending knee injury.

With their season on the brink of disaster and morale at a low, the Chiefs surprisingly turned their luck around, winning four of their next five games. While the Chiefs as a whole have performed much better since their 1-5 start, two former practice squad running backs, Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware have made sure the Chiefs’ rushing attack continues to be an important weapon in coach Andy Reid’s arsenal.
