Eight months and three days ago, defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks suffered a torn ACL in the final regular season game against Houston last Dec. 28.
Marks, who led the team with 8.5 sacks last year, has targeted the first regular game – Sept. 13 against Carolina – as the date he hopes to return to the lineup.
“I’ve got to keep that positive mindset,’’ he said. “That keeps me going.’’
But with that date just 13 days away, it is now starting to look unrealistic for him to be back that soon and he understands that.
