Jaguars Notebook: Gus Bradley hasn't addressed protest by Colin Kaepernick

Bradley hasn’t addressed Kaepernick protest

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said after Tuesday’s practice he had not spoken to the team as a whole about San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protest last week of not standing for the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

Every Jaguars player was standing for the anthem before Sunday’s game against Cincinnati and Bradley expects the same Thursday at Atlanta.

Defensive end Jared Odrick said the sidelines represented the biggest available forum for Kaepernick to express his view.

“If that’s what he wants to protest and that’s how he feels about it and that’s how he wants to go about gaining attention for an issue, that’s what you do as an American,” Odrick said.
