The NFL announced Thursday night that Jaguars owner Shad Khan has been named chairman of the league’s Business Ventures Committee, which has oversight on league commercial activities, including consumer products, sponsorship, events, marketing and new business initiatives.
In a statement, Khan said: “I am flattered to be called upon by Commissioner [Roger] Goodell and the National Football League, and I am very honored to serve. The experience I’ve had as a team owner in Jacksonville has been fabulous, and one of the many benefits has been the opportunity to also serve the league overall at the committee level.
