It may be two years too late, but Houston owner Bob McNair is putting a lot of emphasis on the Texans getting a new quarterback this year.
He talked about their need for a franchise quarterback after they lost their first playoff game to Kansas City, 30-0, last month when Brian Hoyer threw four picks and fumbled once.
He repeated that theme Wednesday at a press conference when Houston unveiled a countdown clock to Super Bowl LI in Houston next February.
“There are a number of quarterbacks out there, college quarterbacks coming out and I think we have a good chance at getting one of them,” he told the Houston Chronicle.
