OTAs will be vital to the success of Bortles, new arrivals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The Jacksonville Jaguars will kickoff organized team activities on Tuesday, May 26 and the period of 10 practices will be essential in building the team's chemistry heading into training camp.

For second-year quarterback Blake Bortles, this offseason's OTAs will serve as a tutorial for learning both his new offense and his newer weapons.

The Jaguars are making a transition under new offensive coordinator Greg Olsen, who is Bortles' second play-caller in as many seasons. Bortles will have to feel out the new system while learning what his new teammates bring to the table.

In addition to fellow second-year players like Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns, Bortles will now have the opportunity to expand his success on the field with free agent signing Julius Thomas and second round pick T.
