Jacksonville Jaguars Rumors: Where will Tim Tebow play in 2013?

Updated 12/23/12 4:30pm ET

Tim Tebow is clearly not happy in New York, and rumors are already starting to circulate as to where he will play in 2013.

As of right now, it seems almost certain that Tebow will be the Jacksonville Jaguars QB come the start of the 2013 season.

According to ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen, the Jacksonville Jaguars are a "virtual certainty" to acquire current New York Jets quarterback Tebow in at the end of the season, either via free agency or the trade route. Tebow, who has barely played for the Jets, and lost the starting opportunity to Greg McElroy  following the decision to bench Mark Sanchez this week, has reportedly requested that the Jets trade or release him.

Who can blame Tebow for being miserable in New York after his former team, the Denver Broncos dumped him after Peyton Manning, and the coaching staff who acquired him wanted nothing to do with him.

Fortunately for Tebow the Jacksonville fans are thrilled to have him. Jacksonville is not too far away from Gainesville, and the people around there still have Tebow fever from when he won the Heisman at Florida.

This seems like a good fit for both the Jags, Jets and Tebow. Jets get rid of a player they dont want, and the Jags bring back their favorite QB and Tebow gets to go back to his sunny home in Florida.
