The Jaguars hosted 20 players last week – 10 apiece on April 7-8 – which prompted questions from readers about the team’s reasoning for doing it that way.
General manager Dave Caldwell explained the approach today … and it’s pretty simple.
“Just to be very efficient and to try and reduce the distractions for our coaches so that every day, they’re not having to adjust their meeting schedules for one or two visits. We bring 20 guys in, they can meet everybody in the building and we know everybody is going to be here to meet them and not at a Pro Day or doing something like that.
