3 Reasons To Be Optimistic About The 2015 Jacksonville Jaguars

The 2014 Jacksonville Jaguars suffered through their fair share of growing pains, but there's still a palpable sense this spring that things are on the cusp of turning around for the franchise. Here's 3 Reasons To Be Optimistic About The 2015 Jacksonville Jaguars.

1. Blake Bortles' 2nd Year

Not a lot went right for Bortles during his rookie season, but he's still a young, talented quarterback with plenty of potential when it comes to being a top starter in this league. While there's concern that Justin Blackmon may not return to the NFL, there's plenty of weapons both on the roster and in the draft to expect an upswing for Bortles in 2015.

2. Julius Thomas

One of the biggest reasons to expect bigger things out of Bortles is his likely favorite new target. Thomas got lost in the financial shuffle in Denver, but he's still a top-five caliber tight end who's going to function as both a safety valve and a go-to red zone threat for the team on offense.

3. The #3 Pick

There's several things the Jaguars could do with the #3 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. They could select a game-changer like USC pass rusher Leonard Williams, trade off the pick for a host of other selections, or shock everyone and take a marquee skill-position threat like Alabama WR Amari Cooper. Whatever they end up doing, having the #3 pick in a stacked first round is an enviable position for the Jags to be in.
