Iowa State released a statement this afternoon indicating Simeon Carter’s desire to transfer. Coach Steve Prohm met with Simeon after the conclusion of the season, in which the 6’8” sophomore forward expressed his interest in finding a new home.

Carter didn’t see too many minutes in his two years with the Cyclones, averaging just 2.3 minutes per contest in six games this past season. Carter was part of Steve Prohm’s first class after arriving to Iowa State that was pieced together in a rush after Fred Hoiberg’s departure.
