Football: Notebook - A hard week comes to an end for the Cyclones

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — With the game finally over, Iowa State wide receiver Quenton Bundrage could finally say it.

This wasn’t a typical six-day stretch for the Cyclones, that started with them finding out that coach Paul Rhoads was fired on Nov. 22 and ending with a 30-6 loss to West Virginia.

“I wouldn’t say it was a normal week,” Bundrage said. “The only reason I would say it wasn’t normal is because we knew that coach Rhoads would not be there after this game.”

The players tried saying they would treat it like any other week once they learned this was the last game Rhoads would coach.
