The oddest email popped up in Mitchell Meyer’s inbox. There was a letter waiting for him at the Iowa State business building.
Upon picking it up the letter, he was asked why a lady in Georgia was sending his mail there.
Where was he to start?
The defensive end is going through chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s lymphoma and the outpouring support has rolled in from all over the country in some wild ways.
Including the letter sent to a random ISU building.
“That was strange,” Mitchell Meyers said.
But he appreciated it. The letters have played a role in why he’s so upbeat through five rounds of chemotherapy with an eye of wrapping up his treatment in about four months.
