On Wednesday, we finally were treated to some long-awaited recruiting news on the basketball front. With Fred Hoiberg's surgery and T.J. Otzelberger transitioning back into his top assistant role on staff, things had gone a little quiet in the last week or two.
Travis Hines of the Ames Tribunepassed along that Tyler Harris, formerly of Providence would be in Ames this weekend on an official visit. The 6'9" Harris is a graduate transfer that will be immediately eligible for the '15-'16 season and as a face-up forward, would provide some much needed size and scoring ability to Iowa State's front line.
