OAK RIDGE, Tennessee -- The University of Iowa rowing program competed in the Tennessee Invitational Conference Challenge on Melton Hill Lake this Sunday, facing representatives of three of the nation’s strongest conferences. The Hawks lined up against Clemson of the ACC, UCF of the AAC, and Tennessee as an affiliate member of the Big 12.

The weather was nice, with temperatures in the mid-60s and little to no wind.

The Hawkeyes swept the 8+ events and crossed in the runner-up position in the 4+’s

“It went pretty well, I think the novice eight did a particularly nice job,” said third-year head coach Andrew Carter.
