The Japanese forward found the net to claim Preston legend Stanley Matthews's record as the oldest player to score in a professional match

Kazuyoshi Miura take a bow!

The 50-year-old Yokohama FC forward clearly still has plenty to offer as he struck the only goal of the game in his side's 1-0 win over Thespa Kusatsu in J-League 2 to become the oldest scorer ever.

Miura slotted home a rebound to cue wild celebrations, with the goal seeing him take Sir Stanley Matthews's record that had stood for some 52 years.
