Luiz Felipe Scolari has signed a new contract with Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande, the club announced on Monday, just a day after the team clinched a record sixth straight league title.

Scolari's existing deal was due to expire at the end of November, but after Guangzhou cancelled their preseason contract with Marcello Lippi to allow the Italian to take over the China national team, the Brazilian World Cup winner has seen his time with Evergrande extended.
