INDIANAPOLIS -- Talk about being counted on to be a significant contributor right away.
That could be the case for the Indianapolis Colts' Trent Cole. The team activated the linebacker from the injured reserve list Thursday. Cole has been out since being placed on IR with an undisclosed injury in late September.
“My mentality is to get back as fast as I can and be smart about it and come back the safest way,” the 34-year-old Cole said. “Our training staff here and our team doctors and the doctor that did my surgery did a great job of prepping me and getting me through surgery and then also after doing the rehab and getting me back to be able to come out here to practice [Thursday] and the past couple days.
