Colts Pro Bowl safety Mike Adams is doubtful

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts safety Mike Adams is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of an ankle injury that occurred nearly three weeks ago against Denver.

Adams practiced for the first time Friday, albeit on a limited basis, since injuring his ankle against Nov. 8.

The Colts are comfortable starting rookie Clayton Geathers for the second straight week if Adams, who is tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with five, misses the game Sunday. Geathers had a career-high eight tackles against Atlanta last weekend.
