Instant Reaction: Andrew Luck Makes History As Colts Take Down Titans 27-10

It was a record-setting day for Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, as he etched his name into the franchise's record books while leading the AFC South champion Colts to a 27-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

One for the history books:

Luck broke Peyton Manning's single-season franchise passing record in the first half, eclipsing the mark of 4,700 yards set by Manning back in 2010. He finishes the regular season with 4,761 passing yards.

The man who caught the record ball, Reggie Wayne, also set a personal best on the catch with the longest reception of his storied career (80 yards).

Turning Point:

Tennessee closed a 17-7 halftime deficit to 17-10 after three with a field goal and a stout defensive performance.

However, Indy would answer with a field goal of their own early in the fourth, extending their lead back to ten at 20-10 and pulling the game virtually out of reach as the Titans offense sputtered in its attempts to counterpunch.

Indianapolis MVP:

Can it be anyone but Andrew Luck? Luck left the game early as the Colts were assured of playing in the Wild Card round regardless of Sunday's outcome, but finished his day 10-for-16 for 160 yards and two touchdowns (no interceptions).

Tennessee MVP:

Bishop Sankey may have gotten the press before the season, but former Jets RB Shonn Greene was the man in this one for the Titans. He averaged 8.5 yards a pop, carrying the ball 11 times for 94 yards while providing Tennessee with one of its few offensive sparks in this one.

What’s Next?

Indy waits for tonight's Cincinnati/Pittsburgh AFC North title game to wrap up to get a firm grip on who they'll host next weekend in an AFC Wild Card game. They finish the regular season at 11-5.

Tennessee, on the other hand, heads into the offseason after finishing the 2014 campaign at 2-14.
