Colts NFL Draft Rumors: Everything You Need To Know Heading Into Draft Week

The 2015 NFL Draft is just a few days away, and there’s plenty of reason to be excited about the festivities in Chicago if you’re an Indianapolis Colts fan. Here’s our breakdown of everything Colts fans need to know heading into draft week.

OL TJ Clemmings A First-Round Favorite?

According to Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz of USA Today, the Colts are looking at Pittsburgh OL T.J. Clemmings as a potential favorite with their #29 pick:

It’s hard to ignore the defense with this pick, but it might be first-round-or-bust for addressing right tackle. Clemmings is a road grader who is still learning the position. If the Colts can put up with the occasional growing pains, he’d be a very good long-term investment.

Clemmings played his first three seasons at Pitt as a defensive end before switching to offensive tackle, were he emerged as a star in his last two seasons.

Virginia LB Eli Harold Emerges As A First-Round Option

If the Colts decide to look defense first in the 2015 NFL Draft, there may not be a better fit for Indy than Virginia linebacker Eli Harold.

Via ESPN's Todd McShay:

"The Colts have needs at offensive tackle, safety and defensive tackle, but in this scenario Harold represents a good value who also would provide needed depth at the edge rusher spot. Harold isn't a finished product -- his instincts and recognition skills are just average and he's an inconsistent tackler -- but he has good upside as a pass-rusher with his length and quickness, and he flashed the ability to convert speed to power for the Cavs."

Will Alabama's Landon Collins Fall?

The Crimson Tide safety has been projected to go as high as the top five of the draft, but if he somehow falls, CBS Sports' Rob Rang believes the Colts will jump at the opportunity and draft him:

"Collins is the unquestioned top safety in 2015, but he is susceptible to a fall on draft day because he is better in run support than coverage. That would be music to the ears of the Colts, who need a physical presence like Collins in the secondary."
