ST. LOUIS – Indiana State track & field had 15 student-athletes be named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete team for the 2017 season, the Valley announced Wednesday.
In order to be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2. They must also have finished within the top-eight of an individual event or the top-three of a relay at either the MVC Indoor or Outdoor Championships in 2017. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible.
Of the 15 total honorees for the Sycamores, six were men and nine were women.
