Bree Spangler Named NCAA Women of the Year Nominee

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State graduate Bree Spangler of the Sycamore volleyball team has been nominated for the 2017 Woman of the Year Award, the NCAA announced.

Established in 1991 and now in its 27th year, the NCAA Woman of the Year award honors graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.

Spangler, a Coldwater, Michigan native, closed out her career at Indiana State as just the fourth player in program history to reach 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills in her career.
