TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State's and scored 14 points each to lead the Sycamores, who rallied back to within 10 points after halftime, but eventually fell 77-58 to visiting Illinois State inside Hulman Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Sycamores fell to 6-10, 0-4 MVC while the Redbirds improved to 12-4, 4-0 MVC. The win by Illinois State was their first in Terre Haute since since 2007. Indiana State is off to its first 0-4 start to MVC play since the 2004-05 season.
Clemons tallied 14 points as he hit 5-of-8 shots from the field to go with four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
