ST. LOUIS – Senior All-American Alethia Marrero has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week, the Valley announced Tuesday.

Senior All-American Alethia Marrero broke the facility and meet records in the 800-meter dash with a win at this past week's Pacesetter Invitational. Marrero won at 2:06.33, currently 37th in the NCAA, 20th in the East, and best in the Valley – overtaking teammate Brooke Moore's 2:06.74 from three weeks earlier as the MVC's top time.
