On Sunday afternoon in the Gold Medal game of the 2016 Rio Olympics, Paul George and Team USA put together their most complete game of the entire tournament, blowing out Serbia 96-66 in a game that seemed finished at the halftime whistle.
Team USA was of course a heavy favorite going into the tournament, but tight games against France, Australia, and Serbia (a week earlier), had brought doubts about whether or not the US was up for the international challenge. That question was answered forcefully on Sunday in the form of a convincing rout against Serbia.
