This year’s free agent class has several high-end point guards. It is very unlikely that the Pacers are ready to hand over the keys to Joe Young, so they will need to find a floor general this offseason.
Finding a quality point guard can help the Pacers in more ways than one. Obviously they need a playmaker, but having a veteran who knows what he’s doing would seriously help the inevitable youth movement get a running start. A seasoned point guard would help make sure the young guys learn everything the right way.
With salary caps constantly rising and a loaded free agency, the Pacers should be able to add talent to the roster.
