Nate Sudfeld Drafted 187th Overall by Washington

Nate Sudfeld was selected in the 2016 NFL Draft by Washington with the 187th overall pick.

After a junior season that was cut short by a season-ending injury in October 2014 in Iowa City, Sudfeld needed a big senior season to prove his professional potential. Boy, did he deliver. Sudfeld led the Big Ten in passing yards (3,573), total offense (3,225 yards), touchdowns (27), passing efficiency (151.0) yards per attempt (8.7), yards per completion (14.5), and TD-INT ratio. So naturally he was only named Third Team All-Big Ten. I’m not bitter, I swear.

In addition to being named all-conference, Sudfeld was a Wuerffel Trophy finalist, a Senior Class Award finalist, and named to the Maxwell Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch Lists.
