For the second game against Maryland in three days, the Hoosiers couldn't get the bats going as the Terrapins' pitching choked the life out of Indiana's season.

It's over. Whether too soon or too late we can debate another time. But it's over.

Indiana's kryptonite, their own bats, did them in for the final time this season in Omaha on Friday night as they struggled against quality Maryland pitching for the second time in three days and dropped the elimination game 3-0. A fitting end to a disappointing season.

Starter Evan Bell struggled mightily in the early going, allowing three straight hits to begin the game, including a 2-run homer to Marty Costes, who killed the Hoosiers on Wednesday as well.
