2016 NFL Draft: Indiana's Jason Spriggs drafted 48th overall by the Packers

The two-time All-American had been projected anywhere from a mid-first round pick to a third-rounder by some.

Tonight, the Green Bay Packers traded up in the second round to select Indiana OT Jason Spriggs with the 48th overall pick in the NFL Draft. The Packers traded up for this pick, which shows the confidence that the team has in Spriggs, as longtime Packers GM Ted Thompson is not known for often moving up in the Draft.

Spriggs wrapped up his time at Indiana last fall by becoming one of just six offensive lineman in Indiana football history to earn All-American honors.
