Indiana’s most recent basketball practice was a special one as not did United States Senator Dan Coates make an appearance, but so did John Lucas, a former NBA coach who is a big name on the national camp circuit and in the private workout world.

Per his Twitter account, it looks like Lucas was there spending the day with the “Leadership & Life Skills of the athletic department,” but his appearance at practice is significant as he is very close with some of the nation’s top prospects including Indiana class of 2015 target Thon Maker.
